A.I.M.E! gives children with no hope a future:

Children such as Fatoumah in Guinea, who lost both parents to HIV/AIDS and after the death of her parents, wandered around alone for days. Or like little Andrew from Uganda, who lost his parents when LRA rebels looted his village and brutally killed its inhabitants. We want to be there for children like these, and the countless others, who have had to endure the deepest sorrow and who have become orphans.

A.I.M.E! is our answer.

We have the following vision: to find a home for orphans, especially AIDS orphans, in a family who gives them the care and love they need.

We can do this at local level with our "Integrating AIDS orphans into foster families" project which we have gradually developed in Guinea since the beginning of 2004 and through which we are now supporting more than 1,700 people. In Uganda, we are currently developing a similar project for 210 people, adapted to local conditions.

It is a wonderful experience for us to give children and adults back their faith in the future, through temporary assistance with food, schooling, medical and psychosocial care.

We try to sow "seeds of hope" by giving microcredit in particular to women (initially in Guinea) who have to support their own children and fostered children. This enables them to set up small self-employment projects and free themselves from financial dependence.

Our strategy of sustainable aid, which is intended to help people to help themselves, is very popular amongst our "fosterlings" and shows us how important it is to continue to support children and adults until they find their way out of poverty.

Our motivation is inspired by the Christian sense of charity and we urge you all to "A.I.M.E!"

- Love thy neighbour! Love our children; they need help from you and all of us!
