Aims

Our aim is to free even more children and adults from poverty, misery, disease and deprivation!

Our primary goal is the lasting stabilisation of our three main project areas in Guinea and the development of A.I.M.E! in Uganda through additional funding and cooperation.

Our aims are reflected in each of our projects and can only be achieved through integration.

For the following projects:

·          AIDS ORPHANS

·          CLINIC

·          MICROCREDITS

Our goals can be summarised as follows:

Our vision for Guinea is to build our own A.I.M.E! centre on our own property for all project areas, to bring together the different areas of our holistic programme, as well as to optimise our processes and expenditure of time.

In the food aid area:

·          Gradual expansion of the microcredit project thereby helping our aid recipients to become less dependent on food aid and to foster their financial independence.

·          Provide supplementary food especially for babies, children and adults in need to prevent symptoms of malnutrition and to strengthen the immune systems of people affected by HIV/AIDS.

·          Advice on nutritional issues.

In the area of education:

·          Improve the educational opportunities of children, adolescents and adults with a programme of early intervention in kindergartens and preschools.

·          Training for young people in trades, business and service-based jobs.

·          Support gifted children to enable them to go to university.

·          Additional educational and recreational offers, such as computer training, special tuition and physical education classes, cultural workshops, such as theatre, painting classes, etc.

·          Adult education, offering a range of classes/seminars, such as language courses, accounting, basic knowledge of various professions to participants in our "Income-generating activities through microcredit" project.

·          Girls' and women's education.

·          Construction of a purpose-built school centre of high quality on own grounds.

In the area of health:

·          Round off our range of medical treatments, e.g. with dental care, patient transport (ambulances), etc.

·          Ensure the availability of drugs.

·          Expand our counselling services and integrate them into our psychosocial care programme.

·          Training of local doctors by doctors from Europe.

·          Provide on-the-job training to a technician to service our medical devices.

·          Improve the efficiency of the clinics to make them self-sufficient.

·          Build a purpose-built clinic to avoid the unsatisfactory rental situation (see also the project "Health centre").

In the area of psychosocial care and advice:

·          Set up additional counselling services.

·          Provide advice on child abuse, such as child labour, violence against children and sexual abuse.

·          Establish a helpline for children and women.

·          Provide advice for women (mothers, pregnant women, female genital mutilation).

·          Provide dispute and partner consultation.

·          Public educational work and HIV/AIDS prevention: with local input, we designed a public awareness pamphlet in the style of a comic, for young people aged 12-18 years. However, we were not able to print them due to a lack of funds.

·          Recruit additional social workers to enable us to intensify our home visits and develop a comprehensive psychological programme.

·          Build a purpose-built women's refuge/temporary shelter.

In the area of income-generating activities through microcredit:

We are seeking to collaborate with experienced partners and to transfer or adapt a system (such as "Grameen" by the Nobel Prize winner Mohamed Yunus) to existing structures in Guinea.

·          We seek knowledge transfer and the provision of funds by larger donors.

·          We need work materials such as sewing machines, farm equipment and much more, so we can provide project participants with the necessary work tools.

To achieve these goals for the people of Guinea and Uganda, we need your help! Only by working together can we make the world a better place.
